Rugged coastline of PapayPapa Westray or Papay as it is known, is a small island with a big history. With its beautiful scenery of dramatic cliffs and sandy beaches, rolling farmland, and wetlands, there is something here for everyone.

People were living and working on Papay before the pyramids were built. The oldest house in Northern Europe, at Knap of Howar, is reckoned to predate Skara Brae by some 600 years! There are numerous archaeological sites on the island and we’ll take you to those we can and tell you about those we can’t!

We are Stuart and Mary Thompson and we want to make your tour special – Errival  is the highest point on Papay and we’ll endeavour to make your time with us a high  point of your visit to Orkney!

Please note that we currently only accept cash or cheque payments and are unable to process credit or debit cards.

We hope you’ll enjoy a look round our site and please don’t hesitate to contact us by phone or e-mail, should you require any further information,

See you soon!
